About

AmishRobot is a website by Josh Penrod. It's been running in various forms since 2001, starting on Movable Type, migrating to WordPress, and now living as markdown files in an Obsidian vault.

The name "AmishRobot" captures the tension between simplicity and technology — something Josh thinks about a lot as a product and UX person who can't be bothered to use any of his UX knowledge on his own site.
