This is incredible! Why isn’t this all over the news? MIT is GIVING AWAY its courses online. This is what I hoped would happen with the internet. Instead of just being full of porn and plans to make bombs–they are giving away incredible knowledge to anyone that can walk into a public library. This could open the floodgate. I wonder which university will be next.
Whoa there big fella — check the timeline first. They are currently putting “first sampling of course materials from MIT’s Faculty” then from 2003-2005 they will have hundreds of courses online. So you have a while to wait — and if history repeats itself this could be another cool internet idea that never actually happens. But I hope it does take off —
Well aware of the timeline. Doesnt make me any less excited about universities putting courses online for free. The fact that they are even contemplating it is awesome.
