Writing During Class

I’m in Writing 150 right now. So, I guess in a way I’m still following the rules. The problem is we’re talking about transitions in sentences for our inquiry drafts, and I already did the entire draft yesterday in an attempt to front-load as much of my work as possible so I wouldn’t be stuck with homework when Reese comes home. (TOMORROW!!)

Unfortunately, I’ve now gone to my first day of CSANM150 and now I have a very difficult 3D modeling assignment that began today and ends a little after halloween. (Grand.) So, sadly I’ll have to work on that between getting to hang out with Reese. The joy of portable technology is that I’ll be able to work on it in whatever room he’s hanging out in, which will make it a lot better for talking and listening to conversations without having to choose between socializing or my work.

I’m a little frustrated that BYU’s animation program leans so heavily into 3D–like you need to know 3D in order to enter the program, regardless of what you want to do–but I’m also kind of glad that something is forcing me to learn 3D. That’s just a skill (and a potential future hobby) that’s worth knowing. I’ll try not to complain too much, because you can’t ask to push yourself and be stretched and then cry at your first nudge. I’ll live.

The weather today has been absolutely delicious. Cold and rainy, with orange and yellow leaves as far as the eye can see. My natural habitat!

I’m going to pay attention now, because I can’t just tune out class entirely.

Tomorrow I get to see Reese!
