My Drivers License Pays Off

Today I’ve been the #1 errand girl. Drive and pick up lunch? Can do. Drive to buy firewood? Done. Drive to drop something off to the cousins? Check. Drive to dump cardboard in recycling? Sure. Drive to pick something up from the cousins? Can do again. I used to be afraid of driving, but then errand exposure made it pretty much fine for me. (Except the fact that I’ve been driving for three years and still haven’t touched the freeway.)

The day was filled with getting the house ready for Reese’s homecoming: preparing the food, rearranging furniture, and, as I have mentioned, running back and forth in endless errands.

The full moon was gorgeous and super bright. I’ve been working on my 3D modeling project on and off all day in snatches, the largest of which was me and Lucy watching the 2005 Messterpiece (yes, mess-ter-piece) that is War of the Worlds while I did so. We haven’t finished it yet, but that movie is full of bad acting, bad CGI, and a young girl that Lucy and I have dubbed Beffica, who is useless.

Our Rat Coven t-shirts arrived today! They’re lowkey HUGE, but Mom says they’ll probably shrink in the wash, which is good. Although their giantness is kind of mega cozy.

Oh well. Here’s a picture:

The back of the shirt says:

Preschool stories / Spring and fall / the distance between sisters / is no distance at all.

She’s my best friend. Easily.

Either way, I need to go back to help with the house—who knew there were so many wrong places to put a picture frame?—and enjoy having the family in one spot for a while.
