Lighthouse Finished!

My project for CSANM (my midterm, there’s still one to go) is done! I’m not entirely satisfied, but I am proud of it.

The textures got a bit tricky (and I’m sad I spent time on things that don’t show up in the final render, like the scratches in the plastic of the blue crates) but I think it came together reasonably well. By far I’m most proud of the messy layers of whitewash on the lighthouse. If I’d had more time (and a tad more of a workflow) I would have made holes underneath the planks so that there felt like more of a reason for them being there, sharpened up the side with the door, and scaled the entire scene up so more detail is visible.

I am really proud of the colors, and the baskets and the stump (by far the two hardest things to model and UV) and the doormat, because I took the type to paint a pattern onto it.

Anyway–Izzy and I have now been freaking out about internal monologues (and some people’s lack thereof).
