  • William Shatner “sings” Rocketman.

“William Shatner performed a unique version of Elton John’s song, ”Rocket Man“, in 1978, for a Sci-Fi/Fantasy awards show.”

Either he is a brilliant prankster, or absolutely insane. I managed to keep it together until the “third shatner” came out with his tie undone and started “dancing”. Watch it, you will understand.

  • McRorie, One Man Live

While absolutely hilarious, and cool challenged, I have to be amazed by his talent. And I have to laugh. A lot.

  • Photos of Abandoned Japanese Towns, Parks, Bldgs…

If anyone can translate this site it would be great. Google attempted and came back with this:

“This way is the waste 墟 search photo studio which is the main of this HP.

Presently we search Kanagawa prefecture and the around that. The area we would like to keep expanding little by little from now on, is.

Still, it is the poor waste 墟 photograph, but the り please enjoy please loosely distantly.”

  • Land of the Wolves

I wrote about my idea for a TV show a while back, what would the world look like 100, 200, 500 years from now if all the humans were instantly removed?

No one has made the TV show yet, but I have found a couple of photographers who have been taken pictures of long-abandoned towns.

I laughed before the third shatner. Stewy on Family Guy does a parody of this video. Im glad to see another post to entertain me.

If you think that Shatner song is hilarious, you need to hear his version of “Tamborine Man”. PU!!

Love Shatner. McRorie is pretty amazing as well. I can’t understand how anyone ends on a pathway that results in freaky talent such as his.

As for the Japanese Website, it seems that this is becoming something of a commonality to take photos of old abandoned towns and what not. I found this link through Flickr, the shots of the rollercoaster are splendid indeed.

what’s wrong with the google translation? looks pretty true to the original to me

  5. John says:

the only error i found was it should say:

Please enjoy loosely distantly (note the removal of the extra ‘please’)

I’m not sure if I can classify McRorie as hilarious or talented. I think what we have here is a cross between Ill Mitch (www.illmitch.com) and Spinal Tap. Only, whereas the latter examples were indeed comical, McRorie fits more in to the category of making fun of the handicapped, i.e. funny in a way, but you feel really bad about laughing at them.

Micah (my husband) gave me William Shatner’s latest CD for my birthday this year. At first I thought it was a joke but alas it is quite brilliant and touching. Ben Folds arranges the music. I urge all to give it a listen. Maybe I am crazy…It is called ‘Has Been’

    No “maybe” about it.

(this has nothing to do with “You Might Also Enjoy”) Idea for next Amishrobot entry: Anyone and everyone who’s spoken with Josh during his post-surgical drug-induced state should write about their conversation with this, their favorite blogger. But Adrienne should definitely write about Josh’s in-hospital state of being, before he was allowed to pick up a phone. We can save Josh the trouble of entertaining us while he recovers. All he’ll have to do is let us post stuff. All those in favor?

Curse you Josh! You led me into a Shatner Trap! I finally gave in and hit the Shatner link, and now I will forever have in my head the smokey image and sounds of “I think it’s gonna be a long… long time.” And the third Shatner dancing around in my head like a malicious leprechaun: “I’m not the man they think I am at all!” As far as The Shatner Himself is concerned, I’m going with absolutely insane brilliant prankster. Who else could pull off such an idiotic display with a straight face and get dignified applause from an unsuspecting audience of toadies? Would it be accurate to say that those who have fallen under his Shatner spell have been Shat upon?
