Omarosa Prime

I sat down to write an entry ridiculing Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, the standout psycho-freak of The Apprentice. I was going to write a fake biography for her, something like, “Omarosa overcame a difficult childhood. Raised by a rabid pigeon until age 18, Omarosa miraculously learned to communicate fluently in English, unfortunately, she still has the social graces of a tapeworm.”

However, after reading her answer to an interview question:

What cartoon character do you most relate to and why?

“The cartoon character that I most relate to is Optimus Prime from the ‘The Transformers’. Optimus Prime is the leader of the Transformers and works as a powerful force of goodness, courage and wisdom in the battle against the evil Decepticons. He first tries to find peaceful solutions to conflicts, but when battle lines are drawn, he becomes a fierce warrior capable of overpowering vast enemy forces to achieve his goals. I used to watch this cartoon when I was little with my brothers and sister and we loved it!”

I may have to rethink my opinion of her. She most relates to Optimus Prime!?

That was the most succinct and accurate desription of Optimus Prime I have ever read, however, whether or not she relates to optimus prime or maybe just his fuel-hogging, beligerent semi-truck alter-ego is up for debate.

The fact that she relates to Optimus Prime is only semi-cool. Optimus was a bit of a stick in the mud, and he seemed to go down a little too easy. The episode he came driving out of the mine and tumbled down a cliff, for a huge robot should be no big deal, but Optimus totally overreacted and overdramatized it, expecting all of the other autobots to rally around him. She simply projects a bunch of virtues onto Optimus, and then pastes them on herself. I personally think that she was planted on the show to create controversy and entertainment; and to that I tell the producer: job well done, keep up the good work.

“I worked for President Bill Clinton in the White House.” One really has to wonder what in the heck she was doing? Anyone that hires her after watching the show obviously needs to rethink their business model …

Plus she always says “I’m a good business-woman.” I’m wondering what working in the political arena has to do with making her a good business-woman? She can’t budget? She can make projects drag on well past any useful deadline? She wants to call meetings where she can question people by simply making statements – oh, yeah that’s got to be the one, i’ve worked for those guys before!
