UTOPIA

I can hardly type through the tears.

I just got a letter from the city. Modem users like Dan, may not want to read this.

Dear Resident:

The City of Orem has joined with 16 other Utah cities to work with the Utah Telecommunications Open Infrastructure Agency (UTOPIA) to provide fiber optics directly to each resident’s home. Fiber optics would provide residents with Internet Protocol (IP) phone capability, digital television, and Internet access capable of downloading files at speeds of 10 megabytes to 1 gigabytes per second

cant type… too happy…….

I wonder if AOL has any offices in Utah that Dan can transfer to…

  2. Jory says:

Oh, just you wait Josh, JUST YOU WAIT. We did the same thing in American Fork, until certain den mothers realized that “10 megabytes to 1 gigabytes per second…” really means “10 megabytes to 1 gigabytes of Porn, smut, and Democratic Lies per second…” and that digital tv isn’t that hot when you’ve programmed out all the channels except KBYU (and not is strumpet of a sister KUED)and suddenly, your back in the cold unflinching arms of 28.8bps! Behold my prophetic prowress.

  3. Josh says:

Ahh, but you forget (ok, you never new) I am a Cubmaster! I outrank the stinking den mothers! And if I can’t outrank them, I will CRUSH THEM!

I sure hope you are wrong. That would really hurt my business plans…

  4. Jory says:

For your sake then, and for the sake of the children, I hope I am wrong as well. I believe scouting and gigs and gigs of super-fast porn transfer to be crucial for a child’s development.

    Oh, um, disregard.

It gives me great pains to see others fly by me on the net like this. I swear that my neighborhood is the hole in the broadband donut.

The mere fact that they mentioned gigabit makes me want to dry.
